The 19th annual ECG-COMON Meeting is hosted by University of Manchester. It will take place at Nancy Rothwell Building – The University of Manchester in Manchester, UK, between June 9th and 10th 2025 (social event & welcome reception on June 8th afternoon). We would like to invite you and/or your colleagues to attend this meeting!   Please find below the meeting information and  link to the registration form in the Registration section.

The ECG-COMON meeting may be attended by personnel from member organizations only, however, if your organisation is not a memeber but you are interested in participating the 2025 annual meeting, please let us know and send us e-mail to secretary@ecg-comon.org .

Every participating organisation is kindly asked to give a presentation concerning the topic of the ECG-COMON (e.g., latest research, future research, measurement equipment issues, problems that still have not been solved, from nuclear and non-nuclear field — in general anything that you feel that deserves some discussion and attention of other ECG-COMON members). The presentations should preferably not exceed 20 min (+10 min discussion) and the slides will be included in the proceedings of the meeting (which will be confidential). Please indicate in the registration form if you plan to give a talk (and enter the title, if already known) and bring the PowerPoint- or PDF-file to the meeting (on USB-stick, PC and projector will be available).

To attract younger members from your organizations and re-engage existing ones, we are introducing Tutorial Lectures this year, focusing on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and/or Electrochemical Noise (EN). These tutorials aim to provide a bottom-up introduction for newcomers, explaining the basic theory, showcasing the capabilities of these techniques, and outlining the instrumentation required for their practical application. More details will be given later on.

We kindly ask for your support in spreading the word by forwarding this announcement to your colleagues, especially younger professionals, who may benefit from or be interested in the topic of corrosion monitoring and measurement. Please note that the scope is no longer limited to nuclear materials — contributions from both nuclear and non-nuclear fields are welcome.
